Another Love Letter FROM Mockwaukee to You

Hey, y'all, hope you're not making too big of fools of yourselves out in public (that's a lie).

Anyway, been getting lots of comments on lots of posts recently. Keep it up! Very entertaining.

Thanks for all the kudos on this post, which seems to have eternal life. Thanks for the encouragement!

I appreciate all feedback, and especially love the range I get - from lowest of the low, saying that the site is not funny, or that I am hellbound because of it, from saying that the posts are sometimes funny, sometimes not funny, and sometimes in the middle (that is from someone very decisive, opinionated, and profound, obviously), to those that say I am hilarious, and call me an anonymous hero. Maybe I need a cape, you know, for when I am not living out the Clark Kent part of this hero thing.

Anyway, keep the reader submissions and feedback coming! I love them both! I STILL am waiting for a submission that is not from a nightlife website, though!

Update & Thank You

A couple things to tell y'all.

First, I want to thank Decider Milwaukee for this article! It was hilarious, and I appreciate the traffic it brought to my site!

But hey, I'm not mean! Haha

Also, (I should have done this long ago), Sarandipity and Rumorator for each of their articles/blogs that also helped boost my spirits and keep me blogging!

I would also like to thank another site (which I won't mention unless I have to) who offered to pay me to give a few entries a week to their site exclusively.

In the end, I decided that it would be annoying to have to go to two sites to get your Mockwaukee fix, so I am sticking with this one, even if the pictures do cut off on the edge. Sorry!

I also, of course want to thank the photographers and nightlife websites (www.milwaukeenights.com, www.themilwaukeescene.com) who give me my material, and the people who are on them, who make this so easy!

Alright... Here comes some updates!

I have news!

Ok, so big things are suddenly going on for Mockwaukee....

• One (not so new) is that I have a twitter account - www.twitter.com/mockwaukee - or click on the link on the right side. If you sign up, and "follow me," you can get texts or whatever when I update, so that you don't have to check the blog and potentially ruin your whole day with the disappointment that either I have not updated (usually due to laziness or feeling like no one reads it!) or that I don't have any material to update with (the current situation).


• Next thing - thanks to twitter, I have a fly new profile image/icon. If you are a twitter user, please tell @ScottEastman that he is the bomb-diggity for creating such a piece of fine art, fit for display and appreciation in the Louvre. Here it is!

• Thirdly - To avoid days like today, and to take suggestions from my intelligent readers, I have set up an email addres - mockwaukee@gmail.com. Send me your pictures and let me know who to credit. If they are amply funny, you just may see them here in the blog.


• Fourthly - Whoa. The # of visits to this site increased 900% yesterday. Please keep telling your friends where to look!


• Fifthly (this is getting to be a long list!) - I am working (with the help of people who've been mocked, even!) to make the lame cropping of the horizontal pictures a thang of the past. Please bear with me - until it is fixed, please just click on the image to see the whole thing for now.
